“The economy is going sour, but some non-profit ministries are going sweet, very sweet. Forbes Magazine  announced yesterday that reverends Patricia King and Joshua Mills are numbers 26 and 28 respectively on the Top 100 U.S. Money-Making Ministries List.

But wait, before you either praise God for His “prosperity” or sigh in disgust, keep reading, tootsie: Kills’ (King + Mills = Kills) mega profits didn’t come from tithes and offerings, they came from suckers.

Back in January of this year, Kills held a Morey Glory Conference in Phoenix that drew somewhere between 400 and 500 attendees. On the last day of the meeting, after some sapphire dust allegedly fell on Mr. Mills and after he took up the night’s fifth offering (”Sow into the glory now as it falls, and you’ll receive 100 times the glory in your bank account!” he proclaimed), an unknown prophet stood up, began walking out of the meeting, and shouted, “Suckers! Suckers! So very many suckers!” At that point Mrs. King took the stage and excitedly interpreted the prophecy.

God is so good,” she recently told Wendy Alec on God TV.

The miracle lollipops, which sell for a suggested donation of $150 each, have created a buzz in certain Charismatic circles. “I got healed after licking a green Love Lollipop 77 times,” Frederick Gunn, a member of King’s church, says. “My mailman was raised from the dead after eating a brown pop,” a cousin of Joshua Mills has boasted. “Amen, after he got attacked by a neighbor’s pitbull, I put the lollipop on his lips and he rose again! Woohoo!”

Nevertheless, the unknown prophet of the January meeting (Bob Merke of Tucson, AZ) has stated that he never really prophesied in the first place. “I wasn’t giving a word from God when I said ‘Suckers. Suckers. So very many suckers’; I was simply voicing my deep scorn for King and Mills. In that meeting they were brazenly selling the gospel and the anointing to people who had no discernment whatsoever, and didn’t seem to want to have any discernment. The whole meeting was simply the simple-minded greedy leading the simple-minded greedy, and I didn’t want to be any part of it.”

But the Kills remain undeterred in their quest to sweeten sour Christians and non-Christians alike. Mills prophesied on the November 22nd Sid Roth Show: “In 2009 there’ll be Dum Dums in every church in America and the world which receives us as true prophets and buys our pops. The bible is so very clear: ‘He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward.’ (Matthew 10:41).” Profits for Love Lollipops are expected to exceed 50 million dollars in 2008.

사랑 사탕막대로 벌은 수익은 2008년 한해만 5천만 달러 ( 700억원 상당 )로 예상한다. )
