The leaders of a large well-known renewal church in Toronto, Canada caught a popular woman preacher connected with a ministry near Richmond, Virginia faking the gold dust phenomena. The ?old dust?turned out to be very fine, dust-like theatrical glitter. This woman had loaded it into her hair. She would stoke her hair like she was pushing it back and get the ?old dust?on her hands and spread it to other people through laying her hands on them. She would spread it to the objects in the church. In turn, people unaware that the object they had touched had the dust-like glitter on it, would innocently get it on their hands and spread it elsewhere. People, then would be convinced that the ?old dust?had simply appeared on them.

Gold Dust Appearing Fooled Church Leaders in Texas
The author of this article was involved in exposing another popular Pentecostal preacher from the Richmond, Virginia area who was also faking the same phenomena. He was extremely popular and preaching every night in various churches attended with large excited crowds. He had a ?rop?Bible. He had rigged his Bible to dispense ?old dust?into his hand when he pulled on the tassel. During worship, he would carefully throw the theatrical glitter into the air above him in a worshipful gesture getting it all over his all black clothing. He would then rock back and forth so that the glitter caught the light. He would also spread around the glitter by ?raying?for people. This man died of a fast acting cancer within a few months of the time when he was exposed. Perhaps, he had an unclear conscience and could not receive healing from the Lord. He admitted before he died that it was not gold dust. Why was he doing this? He was making a great deal of money through speaking very often and to enthusiastic crowds of believers. I still meet leaders, that will argue with me that it was real gold dust in his ministry.
